Initial Consultation
Initial consultations take 1.5 -2 hrs, because I go in depth into your current health concerns and review all of the organ systems in the body. Many conditions are interrelated and affect many different organs. I can then make recommendations working with homeopathy, herbs, nutrition and hydrotherapy to help bring the body back into balance. See information below for more information.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy was developed by Samuel Hahnemann based on the “law of similars.” A remedy is chosen by most closely matching the symptoms a patient has to those caused by giving a large dose of that substance to healthy adults. A diluted remedy that still carries the energy signature of the original plant or mineral is given to the patient. For example ipecac causes vomiting, so if the patient’s vomiting matches the symtoms caused by ipecac, it would be chosen as the remedy for treatment.
Herbs
Herbs are dried plants or plants that have been soaked in alcohol to make a tincture. Herbs contain different types of chemicals that work on different parts of the body. Many drugs were originally made from plants, but the “active” chemicals have been isolated from the rest of the plant and now cause more side-effects. Often the whole plant has other chemicals in them that help prevent side effects.
Nutrition
Proper nutrition supplies the body with the proper building blocks like protein, vitamins and minerals to keep the body healthy. Too much sugar and refined carbohydrates depress the immune system allowing organisms an easier chance to cause illness in individuals. Poor diet can cause many imbalances in the body and lead to inflammation which can make you feel achy and fatigued. A healthy diet is a cornerstone of naturopathic care because many symptoms will improve or disappear with a good diet. Nutrition advice may include: dietary recommendations, vitamin and mineral supplements. I have clients keep a diet diary for a week, so I can analyze their eating habits. I can then make recommendations for improvement that can benefit the health.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy uses the healing properties of water. Water can increase the circulation to an area of the body and promote white blood cells which increases healing. This can be done by either soaking directly in certain temperatures of water or by placing wet towels on the body. The techniques vary depending on the condition to be healed.
